Well into the winter

After a one month rest period I started training again last oktober for the Olympic season. But whou (!), The Olympic Season, it comes really close now and it promises to be a special one. But let me start with the one month brake. It was great since I can't remember the last time 'relaxing' for one month. In all the previous years I started studying or an internship right after the season ended. Now it was a big relieve not having to do anything but relax for a new and fresh start.
Ofcourse I did a bit of training during this month since I would go crazy without. I paddled a bit on the Dutch Water Dreams course when sunny and went running a few times. After a month i felt ready and slowly started up training again to two and sometimes three times a day. I just really liked playing with the water and the physical challenge in all the sessions.
Now I am well underway with my training and the winter is proving to be pretty mild until now. There was no real need to put pogy's on and there has been a lot of water release on the course in Zoetermeer giving me plenty of opportunity to train on white water.
Now, almost December the white water course at home is starting her winter brake and it's time for me to search for white water elsewhere. In the end of the week I will drive to Pau for a week of training and right before Christmas I will leave to Australia for a two months training block in the warm Aussie sun!
