1st in national team selection
Last week I raced Dutch team selection in Leipzig. Races where together with the Germans which made it a competitive field to start in. I was happy with my overall performance having some fast runs and a few 'to learn from'.
Racing on Friday started well for me. I was nerves because it's been a while racing against my team mates. But it was an easy win and I felt confident for the rest of the races. Saturday's course was really hard with a lot of touches and 50 second penalties being made. I wasn't as sharp as the first day and although there were good parts I made some stupid mistakes as well. After first run on Sunday Maarten Hermans was leading. In the second run I put down a fast and clean run taking over the lead again and winning al three races.
So, as expected I made the team again. I thought it was going to be a harder battle than it turned out to be. But racing was nice and I was happy to be competitive in the German races as well.
