    Well into the winter

After a one month rest period I started training again last oktober for the Olympic season. But whou (!), The Olympic Season, it comes really close now and it promises to be a special one. But let me start with the one month brake. It was great since I can't remember the last time 'relaxing' for one month. 1st in national team selection

  • Training camp Bratislava

I've just returned from a training camp in Bratislava. It was the first good block of white water after a small shoulder injury three weeks ago. It took me a few sessions to regain the feeling on the water and my confidence in my shoulder but in the end I was really happy with all the work I did with my coach Han Bijnen.

  • Against the flow

As an athlete (especially in a canoe) as much as I wish to always go with the flow the fact is this rarely happens. In a race it’s only once in a while you paddle a perfect run, if you even achieve that. And in life obstacles are probably more common than a perfectly paved road. But well, maybe that is what makes it interesting.
